Company Portal App Missing After Setup (Windows)

If the Company Portal app is not installed after setting up your company device, follow these steps.


Symptoms

  • Company Portal is not found in the Start Menu
  • Searching for "Company Portal" shows no results
  • You cannot access company apps
  • Setup completed, but required apps are missing


Common Causes

  • Device setup (Autopilot) has not fully completed
  • Required apps have not finished installing
  • Device has not synced with company systems
  • Temporary provisioning delay


Step-by-Step Fix

Try this first

  1. Restart your computer
  2. Wait a few minutes after logging in
  3. Check the Start Menu for Company Portal again


Check your connection

  1. Make sure you are connected to the internet
  2. Try opening a website (for example, https://google.com)


Allow setup to complete

  1. Keep your device powered on
  2. Stay connected to the internet
  3. Wait 10-20 minutes for background setup to finish
  4. Check again for Company Portal


Manually install Company Portal

  1. Click the Start Menu
  2. Open the Microsoft Store
  3. Search for Company Portal
  4. Select Company Portal (Microsoft)
  5. Click Install
  6. Open the app after installation
  7. Sign in with your work account


Sync your device

  1. Open Company Portal after it has installed
  2. Click Settings
  3. Click Sync
  4. Wait for the sync to complete

  • Restart your computer and check again
  • Wait additional time (up to 30-60 minutes after setup)


Contact IT

Contact IT if:

  • Company Portal is still not installed after completing the steps above
  • You cannot install the app from the Microsoft Store
  • Setup appears incomplete or stuck
  • Other company apps are also missing
