Device Not Compliant (Company Portal)

If your device shows as “Not Compliant” in Company Portal, follow these steps.


Symptoms

  • Your device shows as “Not Compliant”
  • You cannot access company apps or resources
  • You receive a message requiring action on your device
  • Applications fail to install


Common Causes

  • Required security settings are not enabled
  • The device has not synced recently
  • A required update has not been installed
  • Your device is not fully configured for company access


Step-by-Step Fix

Try this first

  1. Restart your computer
  2. Open the Company Portal app


Check your connection

  1. Make sure you are connected to the internet
  2. Try opening a website (for example, https://google.com)


View Non-Compliance Reason

  1. Open the Company Portal app
  2. Click Devices
  3. Select your device
  4. Review the compliance status
  5. Follow any listed recommendations and actions


Sync your device

  1. In Company Portal, click Settings
  2. Click Sync
  3. Wait for the sync to complete
  4. Recheck your device status


Check for Required Updates

  1. Open Settings
  2. Go to Windows Update
  3. Install any available updates
  4. Restart your computer if prompted


If That Doesn't Work

  • Wait 10-15 minutes and check again
  • Restart your computer and attempt to sync again
