OneDrive Shows "Processing Changes" Forever

If OneDrive keeps saying “Processing Changes” and won’t sync, follow these steps.


Symptoms

  • OneDrive stuck on “Processing Changes.”

  • Sync never finishes.

  • Some files appear stuck or unsynced.


Common Causes

  • Very large files or too many small file changes.

  • Temporary cache corruption.


Step-by-Step Fix

  1. Pause Syncing

    • Click the OneDrive cloud icon > "More" > "Pause syncing (2 hours)".

  2. Check Problem Files

    • Look for large files (>100MB) or file name errors.

  3. Resume Syncing

    • Click OneDrive icon > "Resume syncing".

  4. Restart OneDrive App
